Dependencies (Advanced Build Parameters)

The Dependencies page of the Advanced Build Parameters dialog allows you to manage the dependencies of your VI Package.

A Package Dependency is something your package needs.  For example: When a package ("Package A") uses subVIs that are part of another package ("Package B"), we say that Package B is a dependency of Package A.

To update the list of packages that your VI Package depends on, press the Scan for Package Dependencies button, shown below:

To edit the VI Package Configuration of your VI Package, press the Open VI Package Configuration button, shown below:

In the package dependency list, you can toggle a package between Internal Dependency and External Dependency, by clicking on the glyph in the listbox, as shown below:

Double-click on a package in the list to open a dialog (shown below) that allows you to edit the version comparison for External Dependencies and also allows you to choose between Internal Dependency and External Dependency.
